Those are pretty damning statements. What Bernie needs to do is to start dredging up a little muck on Hillary, and then let the people know just how phony and right-wing she truly is. Hillary Clinton is a Democrat in name only, folks. In every other meaningful way, she's a dead-ringer for an old-school Goldwater Republican. As a matter of fact... before she met Bill Clinton back in the early 70's, that's exactly what Hillary Clinton was: a right-wing member of The Young Republicans. She switched parties when she got married to Bill -- but from what I've seen, she didn't switch her philosophies very much at all.

Anyway... so how did Bernie win big in Michigan tonight, despite every single poll placing him at least 20 points behind in that state..?

Well, I think it's because most of those polls were taken several days or weeks ago. And during the interim, I think an increasing number of Americans are starting to get to know Bernie Sanders a little bit better. I think they're finally waking up to the idea that socialism isn't evil, liberals are not dangerous, and the Establishment (of which Hillary is a card carrying member) are ruining all of our lives... a little at a time, day after day, the quality of our lives keeps decreasing. And meanwhile, the rich just keep getting richer and more bloated at all of our expense.

Also more and more shit keeps coming out on Clinton which is why more and more people are turning away from her.

Well, I think Bernie must have heard us... because he absolutely KICKED HILLARY'S ASS in Wednesday's Univision debate in Florida.  :D

Sanders came out swinging and basically ripped Hillary a new asshole in that debate. But rather than offer you any highlights, I will instead urge all of you to head over to YouTube and watch the debate in its entirety:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqgTFA1HnUM

NOTE: the video is of a debate that was originally a live streaming webcast, so nothing happens in that video for the first couple of minutes. So just wait for it to begin.

Bernie did so well in that debate that he got a STANDING OVATION at the end. Hillary, on the other hand, looked completely phony and totally butt hurt.

Watch it and enjoy. And I'm glad that Bernie finally realized that he can no longer afford to be sweet and generous toward Hillary. There's simply too much at stake.

And once again the idiots of America prove they are morons and sheep. >:(

Bernie appears to have won NONE of the five states that held their primaries yesterday (Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, North Carolina and Florida). ???

Instead, the Hillary Clinton campaign is celebrating a clean sweep of all five states, though Missouri went down to the wire. :(

Man, this sucks. Not long ago we were celebrating Bernie's come-from-behind win in Michigan and a new world was within sight. :-\

Now the "inevitability" march has been resumed by Secretary Clinton and the media. :'(

But Bernie will fight this to the bitter end and so will those of us who support him. The road just got a lot steeper and rockier but it can still be done. 8)

At least it seems here in AZ that Bernie will win over Hillary. Just wish we had more liberals here in general... ::)

The corporate media decided to cover Trump's speech instead of Bernie's rally in Phoenix. Watch here what the media denied you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZiRprH55yM

The problem is one that you have already identified: the so-called "corporate media," which absolutely positively HATES Bernie Sanders and everything that he stands for.

The fact of the matter is this: most Americans have little or no idea who Bernie Sanders actually is. They've bought into the deceptive and divisive bullshit about Sanders that is routinely spewed on cable "news" channels like Fox News and CNN. Moreover and in general, Bernie gets about 1/10 the airtime that Trump and Clinton enjoy.

The Establishment are determined to continue deceiving the American public, in their ongoing attempts to torpedo the Sanders campaign. But you know... it's funny how nearly everybody in the USA ambles about and whines that we need "change," and then when their opportunity comes to actually vote for change... they don't. They chicken out and vote for the business-as-usual Establishment candidates.

It's positively revolting to watch this cycle of apathy happening again. I watched it happen with Ralph Nader and now, with Bernie Sanders. Maybe I should move to Canada...   ::)

That was at the funeral of the late, unlamented astrology believer Nancy Reagan, was it not? ::)

Never in a million years would you see Bernie at a photo op like that... :P

Yes, I believe that was taken at former First Lady, former prostitute (oh yes, she was), and former astrology nut Nancy Reagan's funeral.

Not only are George W. Bush and Hillary Clinton looking very chummy in that photo, but they're both smiling and laughing.... at a funeral.

Hillary Clinton is a neocon, disguising herself as a "progressive." Just as I believe that Donald Trump is a liberal, disguising himself as a hate-mongering Republican. If Hillary ends up becoming the Democratic nominee for President, then I am quite sure that many, many fence-sitting Democrats and Independents will end up throwing their votes to Trump. So... it's a fair bet that Donald Trump will indeed become our next President, if Bernie Sanders does not get the nomination that he deserves.

Trump is a demagogue, not a liberal. He finds it easy to whip up the small-minded, bigoted masses of Republican voters, so that's what he does. He would be the most incompetent President the country has ever had, and would make the U.S. a laughingstock. Still, he's less likely to institute a theocracy (or start Armageddon as a favor to Jeebus) than Ted Cruz... :P

He has expressed "liberal" opinions in the past...now he expresses virulently "conservative" ones. Whichever get him the adulation of the crowd. I suppose if enough people cheered loudly enough for a liberal cause once Trump was president (gah!) he might then go along. :P

You're a very smart guy, Cylnar... so I think you and I will agree that our so-called "democratic" system has been rigged in this country for many, many years.

At its heart, it works like this: the Establishment... or the Plutocrats... or the shadowy, secretive Oligarchs... whichever you prefer... conspire to prop up "candidates" before us. We are then permitted to vote for whichever candidate we prefer. In order to give us a clear-cut illusion of choice, the principal candidates generally posture themselves in such a way as to seem diametrically opposed to one another... thus ensuring that regardless of which side of the fence you happen to dwell upon, there will always be a candidate who appeals to you more than "the other guy." Or the other girl, in this case.

But you see, those candidates are just putting on an act. The horrible truth of the matter is that... regardless of whomever you vote for... the candidate who wins the election will almost immediately go to work for... guess who..?

Not for you and me... why should they..? No, they're going to work on behalf of the wealthy and powerful individuals who financed their campaigns, groomed them, propped them up and promised them the moon. That's who they're going to go to work for... the afore-mentioned Establishment/Plutocrats/Oligarchs who truly run this country.

So when I said "If you take Trump at face value," what I meant was just what I've said here: he's putting on an act. You don't REALLY think Trump is that much of a bellicose, bigoted jackass, do you..? In this day and age..? C'mon.

And so is Hillary Clinton -- she's putting on an act, too. Pretending to be a left-of-center moderate Democrat. And so are most of the other candidates acting -- including the absurd candidates like Ted Cruz, who are being paid to lose. Why are Cruz and several others being paid to lose..? Again... so that the American people can have the illusion of choice. The candidates get a nice fat payoff, and the shadowy fuckers who run this show get to retain their power... regardless of who gets elected.

I support Sanders because I do not believe that he is "in on this." I think he, just like Ralph Nader and Bobby Kennedy before him, truly wants to give control of America back to the American people. Let's just hope that he doesn't suffer Bobby's fate... because if Sanders actually becomes a serious threat to the status quo, then they will almost certainly do whatever they feel is necessary to take him out of the game.

Right now, their game plan is to keep downplaying Sanders in the mass media, in the hopes that an unfair lack of exposure will cause him to simply go away. And maybe that is what will happen. But then again... maybe not.

Looks like the Republicans, or somebody, are fucking with the polls here in Arizona. >:(

Here's a copy of an email I just got:

[Cylnar],

We're hearing a large number of complaints and reading numerous reports about problems at polling places around Arizona.

First off, if you are in line waiting cast your vote PLEASE STAY IN LINE TO VOTE.

Even if there are issues at your polling place, you can submit a provisional ballot -- and that ballot WILL BE COUNTED.

We can't thank you enough for voting. And as Executive Director of the Arizona Democratic Party, I am deeply committed to ensuring the integrity of our elections.

So if you had a problem voting today, I want to hear about it. Please fill out a short form notify us of what you experienced.

We will be compiling your stories as the basis of a complaint to the Secretary of State's office. Our Elections officials need to be held accountable for the mess they allowed to happen today. So please tell us about any issues you experienced while voting today >>

Thank you for continuing to wait in line. EVERY vote should be counted, and I'm going to fight to make sure Arizona improves its voting process.

Thank you,

Sheila Healy
Executive Director
Arizona Democratic Party

Fortunately I already cast my vote for Bernie by mail (I am a permanent absentee voter despite the fact that my polling place is about 50 yards from my back door - all states should follow Oregon's lead and abolish polling places to defeat Republican attempts to burden the voting process) so this issue didn't affect me. However, I wouldn't be surprised if some other irregularity just so happens to crop up with the mail-in ballots... :P

Same here.

Also I found a news article.

Something Is Going Seriously Wrong at Arizona Polls Today

http://usuncut.com/news/arizona-polling-disaster/

Quote
Arizona’s primaries aren’t even done yet, and there’s already legal action being taken as a result of incompetence or possibly even intentional sabotage.

Leaders from the Arizona branch of the Democratic Party have confirmed that its lawyers are officially making an inquiry after multiple Democratic voters showed up to the polls only to find that they were listed as independents, Republicans, or had no party affiliation at all.

Many voters wound up having to wait in line under the hot Arizona sun only to find that they were ineligible to vote for the candidates of their choice. To add insult to injury, the polling locations have been so poorly planned that many voters had to wait in line up to four hours before finding out that their information had been improperly filed.

Email communication from the Sanders campaign:

[Friend] -

What happened yesterday in Arizona should be considered a national disgrace. I got an email last night from a woman who waited five hours to vote in Arizona. Five hours.

We don't know how many thousands of people didn't get to cast their ballots yesterday in Arizona because they couldn't afford to wait that long. Scenes on cable news last night showed hundreds of people in line at 11:30pm in Phoenix – more than four hours after polls closed. Voting should not be this difficult.

One reason it is so hard to vote in Arizona is because the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act. There were 70 percent fewer polling places this year than in 2012 in Phoenix's county. They wouldn't have been allowed to cut those polling places if the Voting Rights Act was still in tact.

These cuts meant that, in a county with more than 4 million residents, there were just 60 polling places. This is unacceptable, but it's also not an isolated incident.

We need to make it easier to vote, not more difficult. One way we can do that is by reaffirming our support for the Voting Rights Act, which, when I am president, I will fight to reinstate.

Add your name to say you support reinstating the Voting Rights Act so we can make voting easier for everybody, not more difficult.

We cannot continue to see democracy undermined in the United States of America. Enough is enough.

Make no mistake: the billionaire class does not want Americans to vote. Billions of dollars are being funneled into our elections in a form of legalized bribery, even as American voters — especially minority voters — are being discouraged from voting. It is no wonder that government no longer works for ordinary Americans.

Above all, we need to remember the price that was paid for the right to vote. The Voting Rights Act was one of the great victories of the civil rights movement. Now, as then, change comes when the people demand it — in the voting booth, and on the streets in peaceful demonstrations. We must remind ourselves of what’s been achieved in the past, and resolve to do equally great things in the future. Democracy is not a spectator sport.

It is my sincere hope that the states that vote in the coming weeks and months do better than what we saw yesterday in Arizona. Too much is at stake for our future.

Right now, what we can do is show your support by adding your name to say you want to reinstate the Voting Rights Act. Click here to add your name.

No one said a political revolution would be easy. The billionaire class doesn't want to see our movement win, and so we must do everything we can to show them that we have the power.

In solidarity,

Bernie Sanders
