SUPPORT THE TROOPS by ENDING THE IRAQ WAR

Anyone who joins the modern day military is agreeing to kill people in foreign countries that in most cases, never did him or her any harm.

Look at our past history. The last time that we were attacked by a foreign nation was in 1941. Every single war that we have fought since then was NOT NECESSARY. We weren't "defending our freedom," which is the biggest and most insidiously deceptive lie that one hears from the military these days. Defending my freedom only happens when a bunch of foreigners are marching down Main Street, U.S.A.

Running off to some foreign land to destroy people who have never attacked us is simply barbaric. Anyone who willingly signs up for that kind of "service" is -- either directly or indirectly -- a rapist, a murderer, an international terrorist and a brutal pig. Stop rationalizing excuses and stop trying to portray Iraq war vets as "heroes." We don't call people who invade a foreign nation without sufficient provocation "heroes." We call them INVADERS.

We also call them TERRORISTS. That's right: we've become the terrorists.

I think she's absolutely adorable...

She lives in Iraq. She has never, ever done anything to hurt anybody in America. She doesn't want to hurt anybody in America, either. Yet there is a very good chance that some day soon, her beautiful body might get blown apart by Americans who are "defending our freedom" in her country. She is a sweet girl who has dreams, just like you and me. She doesn't want to die, nor does she deserve to die. She wants to love and be loved, just like you do. She is a beautiful human being -- not a dehumanized "enemy."

How anyone in the modern military could beat their chests with pride, especially after looking into her beautiful eyes, is beyond my ability to comprehend. I hope all of you who have willingly served in Iraq can sleep at night. As for me, if I knew that I had anything to do with harming her... or worse, with her death... if even just indirectly, by contributing my support and/or assistance to this illegal and immoral war... then I would slash my own wrists to escape from the overwhelming horror, shame and guilt that any decent human being would and should feel.

If you feel differently than I do, then you and I are simply not members of the same species. That explains why we will never agree on this issue. Some of you would like to justify why it is acceptable to blow her apart and destroy her existence... when all I want to do is give her a hug and a kiss.

I guess I must be a nutcase, huh..? Guess again and go look in the mirror.

Those of you who feel the same way that I do are true humanitarians. I will never salute a soldier... but I will salute those of you who wish to put an end to barbarism and organized violence.
