A while ago I heard about a bug where the fireaxe is invisible if wielded by female characters. Is this true?

EDIT: I also heard that the Tal'Mah'Ra inventory icon has the stuba and handle a different color than the Katana, but the wielded sword looks just like a katana. Is this really a bug?

I've never had any issues with either the fireaxe or the Tal'Meha'Ra blade. Tongue

A bug..? No, because it isn't broken or malfunctioning. It's more along the lines of unfinished content.

I think Troika simply ran out of time and never bothered to create an entirely new set of models and
textures for the T-blade. So they just used the existing katana set instead.

Nope, no invisible axes here, though I have seen that complaint on the Steam boards by UP users, but not from the TPG users.

Yeah the inventory icon is different than the Katana, but the animated version is the same. I dont think of it as being a bug so much as time needed to make a new texture to differentiate the two.

Odd. How exactly does that work?

Well, it seems too minor to warrant much attention. But I've included a "quick and dirty" fix in my graphix enhance mod compilation.

Doubtlessly something else Wesp broke with his incompetence. laugh

Who knows. Over the years, Wesp has introduced almost as many new bugs into Bloodlines as he has "repaired."

I could take a wild guess, though. I did notice that Wesp included some altered models for the female Tremmy PC.
I suppose it's possible that they somehow managed to bork those models, so that there is an offset of some kind
which is screwing up the way that the model's arms are interfacing with the fireaxe model.

That's probably wrong... but I can't think of anything else offhand.

In any case, there are no such bugs with the TPG. As my screenshot so clearly (and humorously) demonstrates.

Tessera maybe right, but I think it has something to do with the first person melee mod thats in the UP. He has gotten complaints about missing weapons before and it may still be happening.

More of Wesp's broken garbage.   Roll Eyes

Thank god for the TPG. At least people aren't at the mercy
of that fucktard anymore. Alternatives are a good thing.

In the nearly four years since we released version 5.04AT,
the True Patch has never broken anything, nor has it ever
added a single new bug to Bloodlines. Not once. Not ever.

Like I keep saying: patches are supposed to FIX bugs,
not introduce new ones. But try telling that to Wesp.

I think Troika simply ran out of time and never bothered to create an entirely new set of models and
textures for the T-blade.

Another reason might stem from the fact that the Revised editions came out in the middle of development and they, for the most part, completely retconned Dirty Secrets of the Black Hand (the source book for the 'True Black Hand'). If Trokia took that into account them might have not put as much work into the Tal'mahe'Ra blade as it was an item that no longer fit into cannon as well as it used to (although, given that some of the Nagaraja survivors took refuge in the far east gives slightly more validity to an item such as that appearing in the play area).

Personally I agree with the decision as White Wolf Vampires are not supposed to be mythical super-heroes fighting an inter-plane 'alien' parasite from the Dark Umbra, but maybe that's just me.

Ya know, every time I browse this board and run across this topic, I feel obliged to ask a question.

And I always bite my lip and just keep my mouth shut.

But this time, I'm gonna go ahead and ask...

What is the point in reporting Wesp's bugs on Tessera's web site..?

It's not as if I can chase Wesp down, punch him in the head and force him to stop breaking Bloodlines.
I gave up on trying to talk sense into Wesp five years ago. Wesp is a hopeless case.

So it seems to me that it might make more sense to report Wesp's bugs to... oh, I dunno... to Wesp, maybe..?

Just needed to get that off my chest.   Roll Eyes

heh, heh, heh hah, hah, hah, hah.

Because they want you to fix you know who's fuck-ups  laugh then they can go to that spin-master and
say, here you go, fixed. Now put it in your next fuck-up.

Sorry about that, but my last conversation with Wesp on Steam proved to me, he is a Spin-Master. In other
words, he is more interested in promoting his own mod (and himself) than the community at large.

For proof:
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1999699

Check out the last page of that thread. Now read it carefully, you will find he left out key parts of my previous
post, and put his own spin on what he was saying. That my friends is what we call a Spin-Master.

A Spin-Master is someone who try's to convince others to follow them by omitting the facts or information that
is pertinent to the conversation. In lees polite words, a liar.

I think I know why Wesp behaves that way. It's classically Freudian.

I think Wesp never got enough love as a child.

No wait... I'm being serious. He has all of the classic symptoms.
He comes across to me very much like a little boy who always
wanted his father and/or mother to approve of him... but for
whatever reason, they never gave him the tenderness and the
loving support that poor little Werner so eagerly craved.

And so now, Wesp has grown up to become a very insecure
young adult. He is constantly striving to prove his worth.

Hence all of the "spin," as you put it. Wesp is unable to come to
terms with his own mediocrity. His rabid self-promotion and his
underhanded attempts to sabotage his competition are very
revealing about his inner pain and turmoil. And consider that
at least two-thirds of his so-called "patch" are actually the
work of other people... and yet, it is Wesp who tries to
claim the bulk of the credit for it.

More significantly, Wesp tries to obtain ADULATION for it.

Wesp wants people to LOVE him. Just like he wanted his own
parents to love him. That's why Wesp gets so freaked out
whenever someone comes along and accuses him of doing
anything wrong, or doing anything bad.

No, I'm not just trying to be funny. I actually think it's the truth.
