By the way, I'd like to make this a little more personal for a moment...

My real last name is Chapman. It's an English name. My ancestors are Celts and Saxons, who first came to North America in 1649. That is our family history. We came to what, at that time, was the Massachusetts Bay Colony, here in the New World. After obtaining a land grant, we first founded a farm in rural Massachusetts, and then one branch of the family moved further north and relocated to the newer colonies that were being established in Maine. In short, I'm a genuine New England Yankee and my family has lived in America for nearly 400 years.

Why am I telling you all of this boring stuff..? Mostly because I want to make it clear that I, as much as anyone else in America, have a perfect right to express my views about immigration. My family has been in America far longer than Trump's family has. Shit, one of my ancestors was an officer during the American Revolutionary War and he was actually decorated by George Washington himself, following the conclusion of that war. He retired a full general in the Continental Army. That is absolutely true and if you contact me privately, then I will tell you his name. I just prefer not to share it publicly.

More trivia: during the American Civil War, several of my New England ancestors contributed funding to the so-called "Underground Railroad," which helped escaped black slaves to safely relocate to the north.

Okay... so all of that sounds very impressive, but it's not meant as a boast. My intention is to show that Trump's apparent belief that America should be the Land Of The WASPs is absolutely not shared by me. And my pedigree is far more WASP-ey than Trump's. Hell... Trump's family didn't emigrate to America from their native Germany until the late 1800's... about 150 years after my family had already been fully established here. In fact, Trump's family were part of a wave of German immigrants who came to America back in those days and ironically, those German immigrants were indeed viewed as "invaders" by a segment of WASP-ey Americans. It was the same sort of mindless bigotry that Trump is now expressing toward Hispanic immigrants. You would think that, given his own family's history, Trump would have a bit more empathy for immigrants in general.

What this all amounts to is simple: Trump is a vicious, sick little man who is trying to get us all to fight amongst ourselves. To some small extent, he has succeeded... but not for much longer. I'm as American as American can be... I am also of 100% white European heritage... and I love immigrants. I love them because I love diversity, and I also know that immigrants are not a threat to America in any way, shape or form.

That's just the big lie told by Trump and other mindless bigots and they are DEAD WRONG. Trump himself wouldn't be here, if not for our open borders. His pretty Slavic wife wouldn't be here, either. Nor would the rest of her family, who recently emigrated to the USA just this past week. Trump's first wife, Ivana (mother of Ivanka), has admitted in her own book that she was here in the USA illegally, prior to marrying Donald Trump, using falsified documents.

The hypocrisy of Donald Trump knows no bounds and it's high time that we, The American People, ejected this hateful bastard from office. He does not represent what America has always stood for.

Donald Trump's vision of a "more secure" America:

That photo, incidentally, was taken at the Treblinka death camp in 1944.

And then there's the leader of Trump's legal team...

Umm... hmmm.

There were all sorts of things that I wanted to say about Giuliani... but I've decided that the photo above needs no words.

What a fun day for Baby Donald..!!!

Today, Paul Manafort (Trump's former campaign manager) was found guilty and convicted of several very serious crimes. Manafort is going to prison.

Also today, Michael Cohen (Trump's personal lawyer) testified in court that Donald Trump ordered him to pay hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels and Playmate Karen McDougal, prior to the 2016 election.

The noose is tightening around Trump's neck at this point. Somebody better put him on suicide watch, because this has been a devastating day for Trump and his supporters. We haven't seen anything this damning against a sitting president since Watergate... and it appears as though it is going to get even worse for Donald Trump.

Man, I love being a liberal. Liberal... progressive... whatever you wanna call it. It definitely helps me to sleep at night.

PS --

Okay so, where are the Congressional Republicans after all of this..? Knock, knock... hello..? Is this on..? Republicans..? Are you there..? THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES. Now do your fucking jobs and impeach Trump immediately.

And the latest chapter in the Trump circus is the hearings surrounding the possible confirmation of Trump's newest Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.

Except in the exceedingly unlikely event that Trump's presidency is entirely annulled (something the Repigfucker party, which Trump has brought firmly into power, will fight until the bitter end) either this putrid, far-right-wing nutjob, or in the case the hearings go against him, maybe a slightly less far-right-wing nutjob, will ensure a far-right-wing nutjob majority on the court for a generation (15-30 years). This is the way that Trump rapes America long after his abortion of a Presidency has come crumbling down and the whole Trump family except maybe Tiffany and Barron are forced to depend on the inevitable round of pardons from Mike Pence. :-X

Speaking of abortion...yeah, you can kiss Roe v. Wade goodbye within a year of Kavanaugh's seating, if he is seated. Give it another year and up to 22 red states will have banned it (some actually have "trigger" laws that will ban the procedure immediately upon the repeal of Roe v. Wade). Not to mention his career of consistently upholding corporate and wealthy privilege, ruling against workers, unions, and workplace and environmental regulations. The *very best* this nation can reasonably hope for is that this particular judge fail confirmation and the Democrats get their "blue wave" and take control of at least the House. Then they can force a "compromise" giving us a justice who is maybe slightly less reactionary than Kavanaugh. Most likely though, the Democratic "leadership" will cave and Kavanaugh will be confirmed with the votes of several red-state Democrats and a scattering of permitted (by the majority whip) "protest" votes from retiring and/or blue-state Republicans. ::)

The pic below says all you need to know about Brett Kavanaugh's character. You may have seen this elsewhere; this incident has deservedly "gone viral" as the kids say these days. Fred Guttenberg, father of Parkland High shooting victim Jaime Guttenberg, tried to shake Kavanaugh's hand and exchange a word or two with him as the hearing was breaking for recess. Nothing disruptive or anything. Kavanaugh coldly turned away and had security remove Guttenberg from the floor. Look at the expression on Kavanaugh's face. It reminds me of nothing so much as an 18th century French aristocrat turning away from a near encounter with the hoi polloi, perhaps about to pull out his nosegay (a perfumed packet of spices) to ward off the dreadful smell. And we know what happened to those French aristocrats, don't we? :P

That disdainful moue shows the true heart of the man. Any human being with a minimum amount of empathy would have shook the man's hand, offered empty condolences (thoughts and prayers and such), smiled and excused himself. Brett Kavanaugh simply couldn't be bothered to treat someone with a different political opinion as if they were human, worthy of eye contact or basic human consideration. And this is a man who will likely soon be entrusted with decisions that will directly and indirectly impact the lives of millions of Americans. No folks, this ride is not over yet. Hopefully things will work out as nicely as Tessera thinks they will. I am not so optimistic. And even in the best case scenario, remember...Trump is the symptom, not the disease. >:(

Just a little reminder for everyone...

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

If those words no longer have any meaning to most Americans, then let's tear the fucking statue down and build condos in New York harbor instead. Or maybe a toxic waste dump. Or another Trump Casino.

Another thing to keep in mind is that we don't actually need to impeach Donald Trump.

All we need to do is begin the impeachment process in the House. Once that ball is rolling, the Dems can subpoena Trump's financial records, his tax returns and investigate every single shady deal that he's made during the past 30 years. When all of that information goes public, Trump is finished. He will be effectively shut down until 2020, at which time he will be voted out of office. And once he's out of office, he'll get nailed on charges of federal tax evasion, a slew of illegal business dealings and possibly Russian collusion as well. Trump's future will almost certainly be spent behind bars... and his kids will probably join him there.

I'm looking forward to seeing pretty little Ivanka in handcuffs, crying with smears of mascara running down her face and wailing "WHY, Daddy..? WHY..?!"

So I had this really weird dream last night...

I dreamed that me and my girlfriend were going to Sea World, to see Shamu the killer whale. So we arrived at Sea World and bought our tickets and then headed over to the bleachers surrounding the big outdoor tank, where Shamu performs for cheering crowds.

Except that when we got to our seats, I noticed that the big sign above the tank didn't say "Shamu." It said:

"SEE SARAH -- THE AMAZING KILLER WHALE..!!!"

And there she was, down there in the huge tank... a big, fat, naked Sarah Huckabee Sanders. She was swimming to and fro, with what appeared to be a cloud of urine and feces trailing behind her in the water.

Suddenly, from out of a strange mist at the other end of the tank, a small boat emerged. Standing on the deck of the boat were Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. They all shouted "THAR SHE BLOWS..!!!" and then they started throwing harpoons at big fat Sarah. Finally, Bernie Sanders screamed "SMILE, YOU SON OF A BITCH..!!!" and threw a perfectly aimed harpoon right into Sarah's head. Her head then instantly exploded and she stopped moving... her brains and blood all over the water.

Right then, I woke up.

I wonder what it means..?  :o

Dig this... just now, YouTube has been knocked offline.  :o

I have no idea what's going on, but it's suspicious... mainly because a lot of people were logging in to see the new rapper T.I. video that features a Melania look-alike, wearing that "I DON'T CARE, DO U?" jacket and stripping in the oval office. It's hilarious. Apparently, the Trumps are furious about it. Bwaa haa haa haa ha..!!!!!!

The feds do indeed have the power to block a particular web site and prevent anyone from accessing it (the internet is, after all, unofficially owned by the federal government). Or YouTube may have been hacked. Or, it could simply be a server (or database) crash... which I doubt, because YouTube has numerous servers all over the world... and redundant backup servers as well. Right now, YouTube is offline worldwide. Very weird.

If you try to log into YouTube right this minute, you'll get this instead:

I've never seen anything like it before, either. I know server crashes can happen for all sorts of reasons... and I certainly don't want to be accused of wearing a tinfoil hat...

But the timing of it all is really interesting. Melania's office puts out a statement asking everyone to boycott rapper T.I. and then a few hours later, BOOM... YouTube is knocked offline for several hours.

Well, it's good to know that Donald Trump is making America great again. Tax cuts for billionaires that are jacking up the deficit, ripping little children from their mother's arms and locking them in cages like dogs, forcing a serial rapist onto the Supreme Court who wants to overturn Roe vs. Wade, openly expressing a sexual interest in his own daughter, regularly attacking strong women with misogynistic comments in public, participating in the cover-up of Jamal Khashoggi's murder, his various other criminal activities (collusion; emoluments) and soon, widespread violence in the streets. I'm not sure how tearing this country apart is making us great... but then, I'm not a vicious, tribal, self-loathing Neanderthal, who feels that all of our self-made problems will be solved by hating and brutalizing minorities. Adolph Hitler tried that same tactic... and we all know how well that turned out. It definitely wasn't "great." I'm just surprised by the gullibility of the typical Trump supporter. I thought most of us were more intelligent and perceptive than this... but obviously, I was wrong. Never underestimate the power of the cult of personality, eh..?

The Trump administration has just admitted that reuniting the families who were separated at the border will not be possible.

Apparently, it's too expensive... mainly because nobody bothered to adequately document who was who, when innocent little children were being torn from the loving arms of their parents.

Kinda sounds like Auschwitz, huh..?

I know how we can raise money for this cause. Abduct sleazy Melania, strip her naked, chain her over a barrel and then force her to be raped, over and over again, by a gang of horny wild chimpanzees wearing MAGA hats. Every time she screams, they should flash a big neon sign above her that says "I REALLY DON'T CARE -- DO YOU?" Make the entire spectacle into a pay-per-view event on cable TV, and then use the proceeds to pay for family reunification. And before anyone tells me that this is too harsh or crazy.... take a look at what they've done on the border, and then tell me what harsh and crazy is.
