The little girl has died. Get this, they are trying to see the cause of death. EXCUSE ME! she was run over not once, but twice, simply amazing.  A backwoods hillbilly  can figure that out.

Update: the first driver intentionally ran over the girl with his back tires on purpose.  He did so because killing her would cost him less than making disability payments for the rest of her life:

"If she is dead, I may pay only about 20,000 yuan ($3,125). But if she is injured, it may cost me hundreds of thousands yuan," said the driver over the phone to the media, before he gave himself up to the police."

they should determine what is cheaper ?  to put him in jail ?  or just to put him in a hole?

You know, when a system bases the "altruistic" actuations around penalizing just to ignore the event, then the problem is usually that the people has been raised in an egoistic way.
And when the moral action gets penalized, then you have it, people will ran away from trouble, praying they will never need any aid. That ultimately leads to a place where I truly hope I won't be nearby. Ever. And now I got the shivers after reading all that ><

Umm, they are becoming a world power which is gaining influence?
They are growing in economic strength?
They are gradually taking over academia?
They are a patient bunch of people and tend to see things in the long term?
Europe is currently courting them to get out of their financial mess?
We courted them to get them to help us out of our financial mess?
A good section of companies are outsourcing to China.

The list goes on and on.  True life is cheap in China, but China appears it is only going to be a larger and larger part of our lives in the future good.. or more than likely bad.
