Not until the beginning of next year.

Truth be told, there really isn't much left to fix in VTMB. At this point, we've repaired
just about every single important bug that exists in this game. The TPG rocks.  Grin

Hi, thanks for fixing the game

You are quite welcome. Enjoy.  Cool

Good to hear your continue work Cheesy

Truth be told Kyon, I have barely touched VTMB for the past six months. Partly because I'm a little burnt out on that game... but mainly because, as I said in my previous post, there really isn't anything left for us to fix. The current version of the TPG (with Hotfix #6) has effectively fixed pretty much EVERY important bug that has ever existed in Bloodlines. I consider any bugs which may be left over to be tiny and insignificant. There were only so many bugs in Bloodlines to begin with... and in the four years that we've been patching this game, we've pretty much conquered all of them.

Which was bound to happen, eventually. Unlike Wesp, we have never added any new bugs into Bloodlines (Wesp has added literally dozens and dozens of new bugs to this game). Hence, it was inevitable that eventually, we would reach the point where there was nothing left for us to fix. Well in my opinion, we have now reached that point with the TPG + Hotfix #6. Any tiny bugs which remains are negligible... and will most likely never be noticed by anyone during the course of normal gameplay.

So relax -- we're all done now. Just enjoy the game. Wink

Sorry Tess, I'm not trying to ruin the mood here but...

What about the Grout Mansion bug mentioned in this thread ?

Not worth bothering with. The models are hard-baked into the map and it just doesn't make sense
to deconstruct the entire map, just to fix a couple of "crazy laugh" sound effects.

I -did- look into it and that was my decision: it's too minor to warrant the effort involved to fix it.
This is one of those things which falls under the category of "extremely minor and unimportant."

That's my opinion at least. If someone else has a ton of free time and wants to take a crack at it,
then be my guest. You can then submit it for inclusion within a future TPG Hotfix, if you want to.

As I have said several times in previous posts, there really isn't anything left for us to fix, Kyon. The current version of the TPG (including its latest Hotfix) has succeeded in repairing nearly every single bug that existed in the original "plain-vanilla" game. If there are still a few bugs here and there in VTMB, then they must be considered as being extremely minor. Or in some cases, they are simply things which we can not fix (such as bad physics within the alpha Source engine).

But I'll tell you what:

If anyone would like to submit a short list of bugs which still remain after installation of the TPG, then by all means... post your list and I will take a look at it.

But keep in mind that wanting something to be different does not constitute a bug. We define a "bug" as meaning some aspect of the game which is CLEARLY missing and/or broken in some fashion. For example, telling me that there is a misspelled line of dialogue in the subtitles would be a legitimate bug. But telling me that you wish Danielle's hair was red instead of blonde is NOT a legitimate bug. So before you start submitting any bug reports, you must first be absolutely sure that each item on your report is absolutely, positively an actual, legitimate bug.

I personally do not see any overwhelming need for another TPG Hotfix. As it stands right now, the TPG is doing an excellent job at providing a bug-free baseline condition for Bloodlines.

If anyone disagrees, then please do what I suggested: submit a bug report, and I will look into it. But do not be surprised if I end up arguing with you -- because the majority of so-called "bug reports" that I have received over the past six years have actually turned out to be mod requests... and not legitimate bugs at all.

I one hundred percent agree with this comment.

Just recently I did a clean install, then loaded the TPG and the res patcher, along with my mod to do a complete play through. Now, this was done using Win 7 64bit, and as we all know Bloodlines does not like Win 7 at all. Well to make a long story short, the game played flawlessly, not even a single hang-up or crash.

That is unheard of when using Win 7, especially 64bit and a separate mod to boot.

That was the same with me, VTMB played flawlessly on Win 7 64bit, and also Ubuntu, and of course XPpro64 using the same  hardware.

And I have been using Win7 a lot more than Xp, mind you it's still part of my rig setup.

Indeed, the TPG includes adjustments to several of VTMB's engine files,
which allows the game to play properly on 64-bit DX10/11 systems.

Running VTMB on Win 7, with the TPG installed, should be just fine.

Is this a patch or a mod?

It's a legitimate repair. There was apparently some sort of error in their mesh
which was preventing their fangs from showing when they are speaking.

Nothing was added... their fangs were already there. They were simply realigned.
