Is Wikipedia Caving In To Corporate Pressure..?

ROFLMAO...
Check this out:
Wikipedia Founder Jimmy Wales Begs For Money
Fuckin' pathetic... and hilarious, too.
And fuck you, Jimmy Wales. How's that ex-girlfriend of yours doing, by the way..? You stupid goddamned loser.
Anybody who sends a DIME to that fucking dishonest web site is a complete moron. Wikipedia is a joke... one of the biggest jokes on the web, in fact.
It is well-known amongst insiders that Jimmy Wales has been accused multiple times of misappropriating Wikimedia's funds. Hence my previous question about his girlfriend. Errr... ex-girlfriend, sorry.
Don't send those douchebags a single penny, folks. Not unless you like the idea of supporting Jimmy Wales' personal hooker fund.

Every website that asks for donations is a sham in one way or another.

Together, we can keep it free of charge and free of advertising.
But not exactly free of bias or influence. Please, he acts like Wikipedia is the cornerstone of free press or something.

Well if 50% of the net is pron, and google only searches 40% of the net then all results from google are pron!
Also wiki = written by anyone. Because 'anyone' is the best source of information on 'anything'.
The sad part about wikipedia is that if enough people 'say' it then it becomes true.

Hmmmm. By that equation shouldn't all of Wikipedia be porn? I like this idea. Let's go fix Wikipedia. It should have far more porn on it than it does.

No, it depends of which part of that 50% google picks. It can search from the 30 to 70 range, and show a 50-50 of porn and non-porn.
My advice: don't trust probabilities. Yeah, a dice can roll a six eight time of every ten... but you never know if you are going to bet the dice will roll a six one of those two times it will not.

So you think if I donated $50K to Wikipedia, I might get something like total control over the wiki thread about, say, my company that, say, is maybe engaged in behavior that some people might find objectionable?
Just playing devil's advocate...

For that money? You would most probably get absolute control over everything describing or referring to you company.

One thing is clear: if you thought the Wikipedia was corrupt before, then you ain't seen nothin' yet.
